one day, isang araw, while i was walking on the sidewalks of cabantan, headed to the office, i stumbled into a thought of a creamy, sweet-sour taste of mangoes melting delitght on my mouth. hmmm.. so instead of crossing my way to the office, i had a reroute to the metro grocery to grab the basic ingredients in making mango float. my thoughts were racing on how i would be able to prepare them in a very limited time and lack of kitchen gadgets to use. I thought of the basic stuff that we had at the pantry, there was a knife, no can openers, no tapalan, i have 3 plastic containers where i can put the final product and i have a team with a very healthy appetite. of course, it's not for free, everybody has to pay the expense but no labor will be charged to that. it was a test.. that i hope would succeed!
it was surprising, it surprised me also, i made 2 1/2 boxes of mango float in a span of what.. 20 mins?! haha.. when one of my teammate saw me scraping mangoes, he thought, ooh.. i was shifting to fruit snack instead of the usual green salad. they did not really know what i was making, so it was the perfect chance to introduce to them my 20min mango float. bwahaha.. and so we ate all of it during snack time and i'm glad to hear that they liked it. they were my inspiration in starting a small business...i thought about it.
after the work week ended, i decided to make more floats! i never thought of orders.. i was thinking of selling! haha.. so i made 7 boxes, 1 goes to me (reward for my labor). I sold it out in 4 days.. whew! it was something new for me. i wouldn't do that again if i don't get orders beforehand, it's hard to sell when you're market is not sure.
On the second thought, this was not new to me at all... i tried this before when nampa was still here in Cebu, i remember the SamPat tandem.. now its just me. I'm not stopping at mango float, there's more to come!!
